Whoever posted the bizarre AI-generated video propmoting the Trump Gaza Hotel on POTUS’s Truth Social account may not have a keen sense of humor or discernment. The “video trailer,” promoting a futuristic hotel on Gaza shores, mocks the President and sucks up to Elon Musk, depicting the billionaire favorably and showing only Tesla cars.
On February 25, 2025, Donald Trump’s official Truth Social account shared an AI-generated video titled “Trump Gaza,” depicting Gaza as a futuristic Trump-branded luxury resort. While the former president has previously floated the idea of redeveloping Gaza, the video’s surreal and often mocking tone has left many wondering: did Trump personally approve this, or did someone troll him without him realizing he was the joke?
The low-quality video showcased extravagant hotels, golden Trump statues, and Tesla cars. While the video caricatured Trump and other figures, Musk was uniquely depicted in a positive light, enjoying the amenities of the fictional resort. This stark contrast has led to speculation: was the video an effort to flatter Musk, or was it an inside joke that Trump unknowingly amplified?
Some scenes were particularly wicked in their satire, such as Hamas fighters portrayed as trans terrorists in bikinis or a bloated Trump and Netanyahu lounging belly-up on sunbeds. While Trump has a long history of embracing memes that mock him in a way that still boosts his brand, this video seemed unusually self-deprecating. Many observers believe that someone in Trump’s orbit may have uploaded the video either to curry favor with Musk, whose influence in conservative circles has grown, or to ridicule Trump in a way that he failed to grasp.
Regardless of the intent, the video has caused confusion and backlash, with even some Trump supporters calling it “in poor taste.” Critics argue that it trivializes the humanitarian crisis in Gaza while also exposing Trump’s own narcissism, showing him enthusiastically promoting a vision that seems more like a parody than a serious policy proposal.
The question remains: did Trump post this himself, believing it was complimentary? Or did someone slip it onto his account as a backhanded joke? With no official statement from Trump’s team, the mystery lingers.
That video was not an insult to Trump, it was honoring him. It showed what Gaza could be without Hamas and terror.
