The Israel Defense Forces was investigating after air-raid sirens sounded in communities near the Gaza Strip on Wednesday afternoon as reports indicated that terrorists fired one or more rockets.
Air-raid alerts were heard in several kibbutzim near the northeastern Strip—Kfar Aza, Sa’ad, Mefalsim and the Nir Am Shooting Range.
The IDF soon reported that the Air Force likely intercepted two projectiles which had crossed into Israel from the northern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported.
Video posted to social media appeared to show an interception over Kibbutz Alumim.
Magen David Adom reported that no calls were received of impacts or injuries following the sirens.
This is a developing story.
