The northern border continued to be active from east to west, with anti-tank fire wounding soldiers and dozens of rockets landing in open fields. An eletrical worker critically wounded in an anti-tank attack yesterday succumbed to his wounds.

The US defense secretarty Austin asked his Israeli counterparts to clarify remarks regarding escalation in cross-border attacks and the inevitablity of a larger conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
