An Israeli soldier was shot and moderately wounded during a counterterrorism operation in Nablus (Shechem), Samaria, overnight Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday.

The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment and his family was notified.

On Tuesday, one person was killed and three others wounded in a combined vehicle ramming and stabbing at the Gush Etzion Junction in Judea. The two assailants were eliminated at the scene.

Troops overnight Nov. 15 shot and killed a Palestinian who threw an explosive device at them during a counterterrorism operation near Nablus and two additional security incidents were reported in the Binyamin region of southern Samaria earlier in the day.

A large-scale exercise was held by the IDF in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley Nov. 10-12.  The “Lion’s Roar” drill included 40 operational scenarios, 11 of which involved gliders and attack drones.
