The crux of the crisis threatening to derail the so-called humanitarian pause in the war on Hamas is the terror group’s insistence that Israel release imprisoned terrorists according to their seniority in prison: First In – First Out.
But despite its insistence on FIFO, it is becoming clear that Hamas has not yet learned another lesson that started on October 7, the day of its surprise attack and monstrous massacres in southern Israel.
That lesson, abbreviated in the slang of popular culture, is FAFO: Fool Around – Find Out, or words to that effect.
It is becoming clear, despite the pummeling of northern Gaza and beyond, the killing of thousands of Hamas terrorists, and the collateral damage to the civilian population that the cowardly terrorists used as human shields, despite the displacement of more than a million Gazan residents, Ichiya Sinuar and his minions appear to have not learned that lesson that their continuing war crimes will have consequences.
They continue to … Fool Around.
Even if this evening’s crisis is resolved, it’s just a matter of time before the patience of Israel runs out. The IDF is preparing to resume its offensive with greater intensity and fury.
Sooner rather than later Hamas will Find Out.
