Carlson Accuses Israel, US Jews of Subversion

Turning Point Speech Blames Mossad for Running Jeffrey Epstein, Demands Citizenship Stripped from Dual Nationals with Israeli Ties. “Epstein,” Carlson told the crowd at the conservative Turning Point conference in Phoenix. “was a Mossad agent operating with the backing of the Israeli government.”

In a bombshell speech at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit on July 13, 2025, renegade conservative commentator Tucker Carlson delivered an incendiary attack against Israel and American Jews, accusing the Israeli government of running Jeffrey Epstein as a Mossad agent and calling for the revocation of U.S. citizenship from all dual nationals—especially those with Israeli citizenship, military service or organizational ties.

“Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t just some degenerate hedge fund guy,” Carlson told the crowd in Phoenix. “He was a Mossad agent operating with the backing of the Israeli government.”

Carlson claimed that Epstein’s elite connections, inexplicable wealth, and long-running impunity could only be explained as part of a coordinated Israeli intelligence operation. “It’s obvious,” he said. “There’s no way this guy did all of that without help. And the help came from one place—Israel.”

He then challenged what he characterized as a culture of silence around the topic. “Why is this the one thing we can’t talk about? Why is Israel above question? Are we really a free country if we can’t even ask whether a foreign government blackmailed ours?”

Carlson did not provide evidence for his assertion, and no official investigation has confirmed any link between Epstein and Mossad. Nonetheless, his claims drew cheers from parts of the crowd and immediate condemnation from across the political spectrum.

A Call to Strip Citizenship from Dual Nationals

Carlson went on to argue that dual citizens—especially those holding Israeli citizenship or who served in the IDF—should not be allowed to retain U.S. citizenship at all.

“You cannot serve two countries,” he said. “No man can serve two masters. You don’t get to vote here, send your kids to school here, and then fly another flag over your house or fight in another army. You’re either American or you’re not.”

He further stated: “We don’t let people serve in the Chinese army and keep their citizenship. Why should we do it for Israel? Or Ukraine? Or anyone?”

Carlson’s rhetoric was explicit in targeting Israeli-Americans and Jewish Americans with strong ties to Israel. “Too many in our government, in our media, and in our institutions carry two passports and serve two agendas. That’s not immigration—that’s infiltration,” he said.

The crowd at Turning Point—a conservative student gathering—reacted with a mix of applause, silence, and confusion. Some audience members nodded along; others appeared visibly uncomfortable. Many were seen walking out in the middle to protest or express disgust.

Accusations of Disloyalty and “Foreign Control”

Carlson escalated his accusations by suggesting that American Jews with dual citizenship have subverted U.S. foreign policy and national interests.

“We’re supposed to believe it’s just a coincidence that every time Israel wants something, we give it to them,” he said. “That every time there’s a war, our kids die, our taxes pay, but their interests are served. That’s not America First—that’s foreign occupation.”

While Carlson stopped short of naming specific Jewish officials, the implication that American Jews are steering U.S. policy in favor of Israel drew outrage from Jewish organizations and lawmakers.

“This is not dog-whistle antisemitism. This is a bullhorn,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League. “Tucker Carlson is resurrecting the oldest and most dangerous tropes in history: that Jews are disloyal, that they control governments, and that they should be stripped of their rights.”

Israeli and U.S. Responses

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong rebuttal late Sunday night. “The claim that Jeffrey Epstein operated as a Mossad agent with Israeli government support is categorically false,” a spokesperson said. “Such remarks are defamatory and reckless.”

Several American Jewish organizations also issued statements condemning the remarks. The American Jewish Committee said Carlson’s rhetoric “crossed into overt antisemitism” and warned it could incite violence against Jewish communities.

Prominent legal experts denounced Carlson’s call to revoke citizenship from dual nationals. “This is unconstitutional, pure and simple,” said Laurence Tribe, professor emeritus at Harvard Law School. “You don’t lose your U.S. citizenship for holding another nationality. And targeting one group—Israeli-Americans—makes this an equal protection violation as well.”

Funding from Qatar Raises Further Questions

Adding fuel to the controversy, reports resurfaced within 48 hours of Carlson’s speech indicating that his media company received funding linked to Qatar’s sovereign wealth funds. The Gulf state, long accused of supporting Hamas and pushing anti-Israel narratives through its broadcaster Al Jazeera, is under increased scrutiny for its use of media to shape Western discourse.

A congressional report published earlier this year found that Carlson’s online video platform was partly financed by a U.S.-registered holding company with financial ties to Doha. While not illegal, the arrangement has raised concerns among intelligence officials.

“One has to ask whether Qatar is using figures like Carlson to launder their messaging into the American mainstream,” said a former senior U.S. intelligence officer. “His speech mirrored Qatari propaganda almost word for word.”

Qatar hosts leaders of Hamas in Doha and is widely viewed as one of the key political and financial lifelines for the terror group operating out of Gaza. It has also been accused by the U.S. and Israel of attempting to destabilize pro-Western sentiment through influence operations abroad.

A Sharp Break from Pro-Israel Conservatism

Carlson’s remarks mark a radical break from the traditional pro-Israel position long held by American conservatives. Republican figures from Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump have positioned support for Israel as a cornerstone of conservative foreign policy.

“This isn’t nationalism. This is the blood-and-soil rhetoric we thought had been buried after World War II,” said Rabbi Ari Berman, president of Yeshiva University. “To suggest that Jews cannot be full Americans because of spiritual, cultural, or familial ties to Israel is un-American and un-Jewish.”

Though no official statement was released by Turning Point USA as of Sunday evening, several of its major donors and partners are believed to be weighing whether to continue supporting the group.

As for Carlson, he ended his speech with defiance: “They’ll call me names. They always do. But I’m not going to be bullied into silence. This country belongs to Americans. And if you’re not willing to be fully American, then maybe it’s time to go somewhere else.”

The comment, widely interpreted as a message to American Jews, stunned even some longtime Carlson supporters.

In less than 30 minutes, the former Fox News host accused Israel of espionage, American Jews of disloyalty, and millions of dual citizens of subversion—all while standing on an American flag-draped stage.

The fallout—legal, political, and cultural—is still unfolding. But one thing is already clear: this was not just a speech. It was a declaration of war on the very notion of American pluralism.
