<p>Police opened fire at the wheels of a vehicle stolen from central Israel after the driver refused to stop, broke through a police checkpoint, and hit a police car on his way toward Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria.</p><p>After breaking through the checkpoint, the vehicle accelerated toward IDF forces, who felt their lives were in danger and responded with gunfire.
