Representatives of the American Friends of Judea and Samaria (AFJS) paid an appreciation visit this week to the Oklahoma House of Representatives and Senate, thanking lawmakers for advancing legislation recognizing Judea and Samaria as part of the State of Israel.

The visit was held in honor of Judy Daniels, the Republican state senator who introduced the Judea and Samaria legislation. The bill calls for the exclusive use of the historical and biblical term “Judea and Samaria,” rather than alternative terminology such as “the West Bank.”

If adopted, Oklahoma would become the second U.S. state after Arkansas to pass such legislation.

During the visit, AFJS representatives also met with Oklahoma House Representative Emily Giese and State Senator Shane David Jett. Participants included AFJS CEO Yigal Dilmoni and board member Yoel Simantov.

As a token of appreciation, the delegation presented Daniels with a relief map of the Land of Israel and a glass sculpture bearing a personal dedication.

“We greatly appreciate your courage and the speed with which you introduced this bill,” Dilmoni said. “This legislation strengthens historical and Jewish truth and delivers a clear message rooted in the Bible, heritage and history of the Jewish people. It is an important step in confronting false narratives spread against Israel.”
