The pro-Palestinian protesters who illegally occupied a Capitol office building had ties to a group known as “Jewish Voices for Peace” (JVP). While JVP presents itself as a pro-peace organization, it has a history of supporting individuals and actions associated with Palestinian terrorist activities and oppositing Israeli policies regardless of the party in power.

JVP has invited convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh, responsible for the murders of two Israelis in 1969, to address its conference in 2017. Additionally, JVP has been critical of all peace agreements between Israel and Arab states.

The protest in question was organized jointly by JVP and “IfNotNow,” another radical Jewy left-wing organization that opposes the State of Israel. IfNotNow has expressed support for anti-Israel representatives like Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar and seeks to disrupt the connections between American Jewish organizations and Israel.

The demonstrations features some token “Jews” wearing skullcaps and prayer shawls to give the impression that they are Jewish in values or conduct. In fact, they are perceived as a freakish and pathetic parade of self-hatred on display, an unrepresentative embarrassment to legitimate Jews.
