Fifty-two-year-old Farhan Qadi from Rahat rescued in daring Gaza operation.
In a joint operation conducted today (Tuesday) by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet, Farhan Qadi, a 52-year-old resident of Rahat, who was abducted by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7th, was successfully rescued from the Gaza Strip.

The operation, which took place in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, was executed by elite IDF units, including Shayetet 13, the 401st Armored Brigade, Yahalom (the IDF’s combat engineering unit), and Shin Bet operatives, all under the command of Division 162.

Due to security considerations, including the safety of other hostages, our forces, and national security concerns, further details about the operation cannot be disclosed.

Qadi is reported to be in good medical condition and is being transferred to a hospital for additional medical evaluations. His family has been informed of his rescue, and the IDF is providing them with ongoing support.
