Iranian authorities have apprehended a clever real estate agent who caught on camera a heartwarming moment of a couple officially handing over their home to their furry companion, Chester.

Unsurprisingly, the video went viral faster than a squirrel chasing its tail on social media, triggering a full-blown investigation by the police and ultimately leading to the agent’s detention. According to the official Mizan website of the Iranian judiciary, the act of attempting to sell a property to a four-legged friend was seen as a mischievous attempt to undermine society’s moral compass, therefore failing to pass any legal sniff tests.
