Former US Amb. to Israel David Friedman on POTUS Comment that Israel’s Survival is in Doubt: “Sounds Like a Threat … and an Empty Threat at That.”
Puppet President Joe Biden stumbled through another interview, licking his ice cream as he mumbled more dangerous gaffes. In his latest miscues, he called for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas, adopting the positions of Barak Obama.
Despite initially coming out in firm support of Israel, Bumbling Biden’s remarks in recent weeks and months have sparked controversy with his criticism of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, specifically calling out and cussing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for what he termed as “indiscriminate bombing”. During a fundraiser, Biden’s assertions further questioned the current Israeli government’s direction, particularly targeting figures like Itamar Ben-Gvir for their “incredibly conservative” stances.
The Times of Israel noted Biden’s push for Israel to advance towards a two-state solution, establishing a Palestinian state, a stance Netanyahu has firmly resisted, emphasizing Israel’s right to defend itself from defensible borders while rejecting full Palestinian sovereignty post-war or a warmed-over version of the Palestinian Authority.
Biden’s comments reveal a profound misunderstanding of the realities Israel faces, although who knows what this demented husk of a corrupt human understands about anything. In a neighborhood where threats are constant and existential, the Israeli government, elected through democratic means, understands that its survival depends not on concessions but on the strength and deterrence it can project. The recent actions in Gaza, both above and below ground, testify to Israel’s resolve to protect its citizens from any future threats, a commitment watered with the blood of Israeli soldiers.
The crux of the matter lies not just in military might but in the recognition of a democratically elected government’s right to make decisions in its national interest. The Netanyahu government, inclusive of figures like Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, represents the will of the Israeli people, reflecting a broader consensus on the need for a robust defense policy.
Moreover, the sentiment among the American populace suggests overwhelming support for Israel, with recent polls indicating more than 80% support among Americans. This contrasts starkly with Biden’s stance, hinting at a disconnect not just with Israel but with his own country’s citizens’ views.
Licking an ice cream cone while standing around with tuchus-licking Grade-B Jewish host Seth Meyers, in an appearance on NBC’s Late Night , Biden also signaled that a temporary ceasefire in Gaza could be at hand, saying that Israel has agreed to pause its offensive during the upcoming Muslim holy month of Ramadan if a deal is reached to release some hostages held by Hamas. The US president, who stressed that he is a Zionist, said the “only way Israel ultimately survives… here’s the deal, they also have to… take advantage of an opportunity to have peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians who are being used as pawns by Hamas.”
Former US Ambassador to Israel David M. Friedman, tweeting on POTUS’s Comment that Israel’s Survival ultimately depends on whether it accepts the American diktat for a state called Palestine forced down Israel’s throat. “Sounds like a threat,” he wrote, “and an empty one at that.”
“To survive”? That sounds like a threat and an empty one at that!

Let this sink in: an American president is warning Israel to make “peace” with Palestinians, 80% or more of whom are cheering on Hamas, lest it cease to exist. A new low in the relationship.
Biden: To survive,…
In his next post, he uploaded an image with the conversation then Senator Joe Biden, who 42 years ago threatened to cut off aid to Israel, with Menachem Begin’s unforgettable reply.

Biden should worry more about his own ultimate survival. The conditions he is demanding from Israel would guarantee that the Jewish state will lose its war with Hamas and then entrust its survival to countries that have demonstrated that the passing from the scene of Israel, from the river to the sea, is their preferred solution. The idea of yielding control over the high ground of Judea and Samaria, the “West Bank” of the Jordan, would expose Israel, in short order, to future invasions and massacres.
Surveys show that Biden is losing all seven battleground states by large margins to Donald Trump, who is likely to be far more supportive of Israel than Biden has been in recent months, without the efforts to appease the far-Left anti-Israel base of the Democrat party. As long as Netanyahu keeps his promise of completing his firmly stated war aims, Israel’s democratically elected government appears stable and enduring, likely to last a lot longer than the current American Adminstration. Israel should stay the course and stand firm on its opposition to international diktats about another Palestinian State in addition to Jordan, which is historically, geographically and demographically the Arab heir of Mandatory Palestine.
As for you, Jilted Joe, maybe you should worry more about your own political survival and less about Israel’s. We’ll take care of ourselves, because there are no other takers.
We now see the meaning of summer soldiers and sunshine patriots.
We are fighting for our own.
