Well, we've ironed out most of the quirks on our new website, and now we're humming along quite nicely, thank you ;-) We've been working on making the site more efficient and user friendly, and we have spent a great deal of time developing and producing more exclusive content than ever before.
We here at VJ are huge music fans, so we are constantly on the lookout for Jewish music news and information. Through our extensive research, we discovered that there was really no good central place for information on the web that catered to Jewish musicians, artists and other Jewish and Israeli music personalities. Right now, it's all just a chaotic mish-mash of Myspace pages, Twitter feeds and Facebook updates strewn all over the digital space, with hardly any organization or structure to speak of.
Because we couldn't find all of what we wanted in one place, we've decided to fill the void! In the works, we have an extensive music section brewing, which we plan to unveil in the coming weeks. We're going to have the latest news, album reviews and tour dates, as well as exclusive VJ interviews with some of the most exciting Jewish up-and-comers in the business. Secular? Religious? Sacrilegious? We'll have it all!
But we also want to hear YOUR views. What content would you like to see? Which artists and performers are important to you? Which bands would you like to see featured on our site? What types of music interests you? What have we not thought about?
Our goal is to make VJMusic your hub for Jewish music, so we need your feedback! If you have been looking for something, we want to have it! Submit any ideas or thoughts to me at editor@virtualjerusalem.com, and let us know what you'd like to see!
