Lebanon's president accused Israel of setting up a Katyusha attack on southern Israel to keep tensions high in the region.
Michel Suleiman on Thursday told Lebanese media that an Israeli agent may have fired the rocket. He said the fact that Israel has said it will continue to collect intelligence from southern Lebanon lends credibility to his claim.
On Tuesday evening, a Katyusha rocket fired from southern Lebanon landed near Kiryat Shemona, setting fire to an empty field.
Suleiman said Israel used the rocket as an excuse "to continue its violation of Lebanese sovereignty."
On Wednesday, Lebanese soldiers reportedly dismantled four more rockets set up on launchers pointed at Israel. Timing devices set to go off were attached to the rockets, according to reports.
