Rice
with Herbs
Thanks to Minette Greenman,
who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!
Ingredients:
1 cup white rice
3 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
¾ teaspoon each basil and marjoram
¼ teaspoon each thyme and curry powder
½ teaspoon sage
3 cups chicken broth
Directions: Cook onion and rice in butter for 5 minutes. Add remaining
ingredients and heat to boiling. Stir, cover, and cook slowly for
30 minutes or until rice is tender. For drier rice, remove cover
and cook another 5 minutes.
