Carrot,
Apple, and Sweet Potato Tzimmes
Ingredients:
4 or 5 carrots, sliced
6 sweet potatoes or yams, sliced
5 tart apples, peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
3/4 cup brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
5 Tbls. margarine
1 1/2 cups water
Method:
Preheat over to 350
In a saucepan, cook carrots and sweet potatoes till tender
In a baking dish, place the various slices in a layer to cover bottom
Sprinkle with a little brown sugar, salt, and pepper and dot with
margarine
Continue layering until all ingredients are used up
Pour the water over the mixture
Cover and bake until the top is golden brown (a few minutes)
