Roast Beef Ala Mode

Thanks to Minette Greenman, who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!

3 Tbs. salad oil
¼ c. chopped onion
1 clove chopped garlic
8 oz can tomato sauce
¼ c. Burgundy
2 tbs. water
¼ c. catsup salt
2 tbs. wine vinegar
1 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. dry mustard

Directions: 4 pound book Roast – Roast beef until almost done. Cool, Slice and return to pot. In separate pot mix all sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer slowly about 15 min. Pour over sliced meat and cook until done. Heat oven between 325 - 350F.
