Barbecued London Broil

Thanks to Minette Greenman, who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!

¾ c. It. Dressing
1tspn. Worcestershire sauce
1 tspn dry mustard
¼ tspn crushed thyme
1 med. onion
1½ lb. flank steak, scored
2 tbspns marg.

Directions: Combine and mix well all ingredients above flank steak. Place steak in shallow dish. Pour marinade over steak. Refrigerate covered overnight turn steak occasionally.

Transfer steak from marinade to broiled pan. Melt margarine in small shallow pan. Lift onions out of marinade, put in margarine. Reserve marinade. Cook onions, covered, over low heat to steam them while steak boils. Broil over charcoal or in oven 3 – 4 in. from source of heat until done as desired. Brush steak with marinade occasionally during cooking period and turn steak once. Slice steak in thin diagonal slices across grain. Top meat with steamed onions. 4 – 6 servings.
