Tiny Fudge Brownie Kisses

Thanks to Minette Greenman, who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!

½ stick butter or margarine
3 1oz. squares semi-sweet chocolate
1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
1 egg
5 T. unsifted flour
24 – 30 Hershey’s kisses

Directions: Preheat oven to 350F. Place 24 – 30 foil min-muffin cups on a baking sheet. Melt together the butter, chocolate and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat. Beat in vanilla, then egg, stirring until blended in. Fold in flour until blended. Spoon slightly rounded teaspoonfuls into each cup. Cups should be ½ - 2/3 full. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until centers spring back when touched. Put kisses on sheet of foil and place on warm surface (top of stove when oven is on) just to slightly melt the bottoms. Place kisses quickly on each brownie, 1 minute after it has been removed from the oven. Store airtight.
