Turkish Delight

Ingredients:

1 cup applesauce
1 (3-ounce) package cherry gelatin
1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup chopped nuts Sugar

Instructions:

Heat applesauce, and add gelatin, sugar and salt; stir until dissolved and clear. Remove from heat and add nuts. Pour into buttered 9 By 5 BY 3-inch loaf pan. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares. Roll in sugar, then let stand 24 hours in refrigerator. Roll again in sugar. Makes 3 dozen small pieces.
