Orange Butterscotch Cake

Thanks to Minette Greenman, who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!

Ingredients:

1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
2 egs
2 tspns. cinnamon
½ tspn. salt
1/1/2 c. oatmeal
2 tspns vanilla
3c. sifted flour
3 tspns. baking powder
2 c. milk (good ½ c. Orange Juice)

Instructions:

Beat margarine and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs blend. Sift dry ingredients, except oatmeal. Add to mix alternately with milk. Start and end with dry. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake 350F for 40 – 50 minutes. Cool in pan.

Topping:
½ c. margarine
2/3c. chopped nuts
½ c. firm packed brown sugar
4 Tbspns orange juice

Directions: Beat together-spread on cooled cake and broil until bubbly – 3 min.
